Horní Tříč u Vysokého nad Jizerou

You can find this typical mountain cottage, recently reconstructed, in the west part of the Krkonose mountains. It has a beautiful view on the mountain parts of Kotel and Kozi hrbety. The cottage is situated in the middle of our beautiful nature, far away from the main road in the village Tric, in the part called Mala Strana, nearby a town of Vysoke nad Jizerou.

Because of its location and equipment, the cottage is suitable for two friend families or groups of friends. It will be appreciated especially by those who love nature’s beauties, who are keen on winter sports, hiking or cycling and by those who need to relax from city life, full of stress and noise.

About the cottage

Neighborhoods

Because of the fact that the surrounding lands belong to the cottage, guests’ privacy is guaranteed. The fenced off ground is sloping, which is very appreciated by kids in winter. There is a possibility of a one-week or just a few-day stay.

In summer, an outside seating with a barbecue is available.

How to get there

You can come by car or on bike directly under the cottage. If you choose a bus, it takes you to Vysoke nad Jizerou. By train, you arrive to the near town of Jablonec nad Jizerou – look at the map with the arrival road. The transport from bus or train can be arranged by the cottage owner.

The parking is situated directly near the cottage (during the no snow period). During winter time, the parking lot is 80 m under the cottage.

Where to eat

The cottage is equipped for self-catering. You can also use the restaurants nearby. The closest restaurant is in the village Tric (500 m). The next ones are in the towns of Vysoke nad Jizerou or Jablonec nad Jizerou.

Cottage equipment

The ground floor is entirely available to our guests. The new central heating system ensure the comfort of guests especially in winter and in the transitional periods.

There is a spacious hall that can be used for storing skis, snowboards, bicycles and other baggage (locked space).

Our guests can profit of a new Finnish sauna, which will be appreciated especially in winter and the transitional periods (a small contribution will be demanded to cover the running costs).

The fully equipped kitchenette is interconnected with the main room. There is a dining place for at least 8 people, a TV with a terrestrial and satellite receiver (Astra).

A kid travelling bed can be used for free if needed.

Kitchen

The kitchenette is equipped with a 4-hotplate electric cooker, a microwave, a refrigerator, a coffee-machine, a jug kettle and all kitchenware and kitchen utensils.

Rooms

Two bedrooms, each one with two beds and two extra beds, a spacious wooden dining room with a kitchenette.

Sanitary facilities

A bathroom with a bathtub, a shower and a toilet. Separately, there is another shower inside of the sauna.

Central heating and water warming system

Central heating is available, in summer water is heated by electricity.

Holidays

There are no limits for your skiing adventures in winter and mountain hiking in summer.

Summer holidays

In summer, the nearest swimming possibility is in the town Jablonec nad Jizerou, in an open swimming pool called Pilistata. In case of bad weather, there is a covered swimming pool in Jilemnice. This is an ideal start place for hiking and cycling adventures, not only in the Krkonose (the Giant Mountains) but also in the east part of the Jizerske hory.

In summer, hiking and cycling tourists can benefit from buses where bicycles can be transported in order to get up in the hills.

The Krkonose offer you 400 kilometers of cycle tracks in the region of National Park and 300 kilometers in the foothills area.

Winter sports

Winter sport lovers will be happy as well. Not far away, there are not only family ski slopes, but also a lot of kilometers of cross-country tracks.

Ski slopes nearby the cottage are: the skiing area in Sachty a Vetrov near Vysoke nad Jizerou (2 km), Kamenec near Jablonec nad Jizerou (2 km), Paseky nad Jizerou (8 km), Rokytnice nad Jizerou – Horni Domky (8 km), Harrachov – Ryzoviste (15 km).

By car, you can reach well-maintained cross-country tracks nearby of Vysoke n/J and Korenov, and also the cross-country skiing area Jakuszyce on the Polish side near Harrachov and Misecky.

In the village Horni Polubny and in the Jizerka settlement you can find the starting points of the Jizera skiing track (Jizerska lyzarska magistrala - 50km).

In winter, snow chains are recommended (winter tires essential).

A small shopping centre, a cash dispenser, a post office, a pharmacy and a bakery shop are available in Vysoke nad Jizerou and in Jablonec nad Jizerou.
